We draw attention to our bodily patterns to discover new pathways and saturations. Through principles from Flying Low, Fighting Monkey Practice, contemporary dance, martial arts, and improvisation, we return to instincts, the cyclical, rhythm, spirals, and chaos to discover the infinite pathways,and possibilities of our physicality. Alejandra Gissler (CO/CH) and Yasmine Lindskog (SW/FI/US) that promotes artistic exchange and cross-cultural collaboration between contemporary dance practitioners and local communities between Colombia and Europe. The project creates dynamic, site-responsive gatherings that bring together local and international artists for dialogue and exchange through open workshops, creative laboratories, and shared performances. Lo Poroso seeks to nurture artists and communities outside dominant cultural centers, decentralizing dance narratives often concentrated in capitals. Through a multifaceted, inclusive program, it enriches local ecosystems, empowers regional voices, and connects them to a growing network of transnational dialogue. This approach cultivates a living, horizontal framework of artistic exchange deeply rooted in place yet open and porous across borders. In its second edition, Lo Poroso expands in scale, duration, and reach. Eight local and international artists from Colombia, Finland, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, and the USA are invited to share their practices with the dance communities of Bucaramanga and Zapatoca through an extended program of workshops, creative laboratories, and public encounters. Increased capacity allows for broader participation, deepening artistic exchange and strengthening the project’s impact within the region. This edition extends beyond the urban center through a partnership with Fundación Bavilú in the rural town of Zapatoca, reinforcing Lo Poroso’s commitment to decentralization. New and continued collaborations including a performance night at Teatro Santander and participation in Municipal – Música Viva’s Jazzología diversify audiences and contexts, while workshops in Zapatoca for children aged 6 to 12 foster early engagement with artistic practice. Her work engages sensitively with ecological questions, materiality, and the relationship between body and space. Her versatile practice spans movement facilitation in non-conventional sites and the creation of immersive spaces where performance, collective improvisation, and guided rest gently intertwine. Drawing from her multicultural background, she explores the intersection of diverse movement languages, weaving contemporary techniques such as Floorwork, Flying Low, and Cunningham technique with the rhythms and textures of Colombian dance practices. Since graduating from her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the London Contemporary Dance School, her work has been presented at The Place Theatre, Whitechapel Gallery, The Story Garden, and at festivals internationally. In her hometown Bucaramanga, she co-founded Lo Poroso, a platform fostering cultural and artistic exchange within contemporary dance practices. Rebecca Laube-Pohto14 July ︎︎︎ 20 July 2026Rebecca Laube-Pohto is a Finnish dance artist, choreographer, performer, and educator working between Brussels and Central Finland, whose work spans international artistic contexts. She is the co-founder and artistic director of Keskellä Collective and has developed her practice through extensive studies and professional experience in dance, improvisation, and real-time composition. She works internationally, creating artistic projects that combine choreography, improvisation, and collaborative practices. Her work is rooted in physicality, presence, and real-time composition, informed by extensive international studies, intercultural experiences, and a diverse movement background drawing from contemporary dance, contact improvisation, partnering, classical ballet, hip hop, house, voguing, and other movement practices. She has performed and taught internationally across Europe, Asia, and South America, and has collaborated with artists including Sari Palmgren, Iselin Brogeland, Yasen Vasilev, Terhi Kuokkanen, and Mirva Mäkinen. Her artistic approach has been shaped by long-term studies with David Zambrano and extensive engagement with the practices of Flying Low, Passing Through, and Instant Composition. Her current interests explore body memory, belonging, embodied landscapes, and choreographic processes that emerge through relationships between people, place, and movement. Deborah Lotti&nbsp;21 July ︎︎︎ 27 July 2026Deborah Lotti began her dance training in Luxembourg before earning a Dance Teacher Diploma from the Institut de Formation Professionnelle Rick Odums and a BA from Université Paris 8. She has performed with Ballets Jazz Rick Odums, Armstrong Jazz Ballet, and Les Allumettes, expanding her skills through programs like Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Program and Gaga Summer Intensive. She has worked with choreographers such as Alexander Ekman, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Damien Jalet. Currently based in Paris, Deborah tours with RB Dance Company’s Stories and has performed in projects like Mahalaga Landscapes (Jill Crovisier) and Chiroptera (Damien Jalet &amp; JR at Opéra de Paris). In 2024, she joined MAISHA, created by the African and European Union and choreographed by Serge Aimé Coulibaly. The same year, she was selected for the Paralympic Opening Ceremony in Paris choreographed by Alexander Ekman. She has also performed for Handicap International Luxembourg and at Paris Fashion Week 2025 for Valentino. Recently, she joined the company Faso Danse Théâtre for their new creation choreographed by Serge Aimé Coulibaly. She is originally from Liberia and Guinea, born in France and raised in Germany. Following her studies in International Relations, Development Studies, and African Studies in London, she completed her dance training at Danceworks Berlin and the Tictac Art Centre in Brussels. Her work focuses on relationality and perception. She investigates our relationships to ourselves, to each other, and to our environment—aiming for new narratives and perspectives, greater self-reflection, and deeper self-awareness. Her works include "FÜHL DIE WELT DURCH MEINE HAUT – Observations on everyday racism" (2021), "LIFE IS A JUNGLE" (2024) for blind, visually impaired, and sighted audiences, and "PINKE PINKE – a poetic reflection on money for 8 years up (2025). Since 2024, she has been offering the inclusive workshop "DANCE TO THE MUSIC" for blind, visually-impaired and sighted persons and the improvisation session "PLAYTIME" for dancers of all backgrounds and all levels of experience. She was the artistic co-director of the Sommerblut Kulturfestival in 2024 and is currently a member of the advisory board for the FAVORITEN Festival 2026. Yasmine Lindskog3 July ︎︎︎ 3 August 2026Yasmine Lindskog is a Swedish-Finnish-American dance artist, improviser, and choreographer based in Brussels, Belgium. She is fascinated by the collective energy and is drawn to curating collective experiences in her work. Often working with instantaneous composition, she curates improvisational structures to explore the potential of physicality, presence, and interconnectivity. She has performed in the USA, UK, Europe, Colombia, Ethiopia, and China, in works by Serge Aimé Coulibaly, Aïda Colmenero Dïaz, Adaptations Dance Theater, Shobana Jeyasingh, Tony Adigun, FLOCK, Kaeja d'Dance, cia Jordi L. Vidal, amongst others. She co-founded Lo Poroso, a platform for artistic and cultural exchange between contemporary dance practitioners in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and co-directs SonicMvmtScapes, immersive AR sound-movement experiences. Choreographic credits include commissions for Irvine Valley College, FLYOUT Transition Dance Company, John Hopkins University's Peabody Prep, Teatro Ermete Novelli, Maui Arts &amp; Cultural Center, amongst others. Through this layered exchange, they explore storytelling that blends traditional and contemporary influences as the duo composes in the moment. Together they unearth the voices and stories hidden inside each instrument and within their own body’s. The result is an immersive unfolding of presence, rhythm, cultural exchange, and interconnectivity, where movement and sound are perpetually intertwined. During the project we host morning training sessions and evening dance and music jam sessions open for the local community to participate. The morning training sessions include traditional Mozambican dance led by Sumalgy Nuro and improvisation and floorwork led by Yasmine Lindskog. All sessions are accompanied with live music by Sumalgy Nuro. The evening jam sessions are based in real-time composition with live music and dance.&nbsp;These workshops invite community members to engage directly with our project, fostering deeper connections and enriching the project's research and development.Throughout the process of Reunindo, site-specific research, landscapes, and communities influence the trajectory of the work. As a duo, inspiration is drawn from&nbsp;daily encounters in new landscapes and across borders. The duo co-creates with the unique landscapes and communities they encounter in order to unearth and weave together stories embedded in place. This project serves as a platform to come together as we return to presence, breath, rhythm, community, and nature in its most raw and visceral sense. Through open workshops, creative labs, and a culminating performance, the project cultivates a space of horizontal, interdisciplinary collaboration and artistic reflection. The name Lo Poroso (meaning "of porous nature") symbolizes the openness and permeable exchange that artists aim to foster in this gathering. We envision pores as pathways for dialogue, expression, and the sharing of artistic practices. Through these pores, artists enrich their craft by drawing from a diversity of artistic expressions and connecting with the local community. In its first edition (December 9–13, 2024), Lo Poroso invited local and international artists to lead workshops, share their artistic practices, and collaborate with the local dance community. Events were held at Casa de la Danza and Municipal - Música Viva. Artists include dance artists Omar Rojas, Daniela Anaya, Alejandra Gissler, &nbsp;and Yasmine Lindskog, as well as musicians, Juan J. Ortiz and Jorge Luis Ortiz Camacho.&nbsp; Born from the desire to celebrate and nourish the practices of dance artists in Bucaramanga, Lo Poroso also seeks to create meaningful spaces for connection with local and international practitioners. The gathering invites an enriching dialogue across cultural and artistic boundaries, revealing shared themes and approaches while reflecting on the resonance of these practices within the regional context of Santander. Alongside 4 dance artists from African countries and 4 dance artists from European countries, I participated in a 3-week residency that culminated in a final performance at the Adwa Victory Memorial in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The group of artists were from Burkina Faso, Belgium, Spain, Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, South Africa, France, Sweden, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lithuania, and Germany.&nbsp; “Daland@ is a dance piece that embodies a wealth of heritage, underscoring the significance of traditions and values within communities. It resonates with pride, connecting individuals to their roots and highlighting the profound importance of cultural heritage. Daland@ is not just a name; it’s a symbol of honoring origins while embracing individuality. This performance serves as a testament to the transformative power of art, transcending boundaries and fostering unity among diverse cultures. We contemplate the present and the past of Europe and Africa in their entirety, acknowledging both virtues and flaws, to envision and shape a better future. Drawing inspiration from Felwine Sarr’s reflections we need to rehabilitate cultural values such as dignity, coexistence, hospitality, mutuality, modesty, humility, and a sense of honor to revive the profound humanism of our cultures. We experience the sensuous world only by rendering ourselves vulnerable to that world. Sensory perception is this ongoing interweavement: the terrain enters into us only to the extent that we allow ourselves to be taken up within that terrain.” - David Abrams&nbsp; SonicMvmtScapes is an immersive AR audio experience that invites participants into their sensing and feeling body’s as they engage with urban and natural landscapes in new ways and contexts. The audio experience utilizes sound mapping and movement as a means to alter the way one perceives place. The project will be accessible in various cities and local parks across the globe via an app where the sound recordings will exist for users to access at anytime. Each audio experience is GPS-mapped in a specific location and sounds will be activated by how the user moves through place. The specific location of each audio experience will also inform the content inside. The audio experience will include original music compositions, field recordings, movement tasks, meditative tasks, questions, reflections, and more. We hope to engage people of the local communities where each audio experience is created. SonicMvmtScapes is for the community of each specific location. It is for the people who engage with those landscapes everyday, for the people who cross the pathway where our audio experience begins, for the people who walk their dogs on that path, for the people who need to escape for a moment and go to walk that familiar path, for the people curious about these neighborhoods. SonicMvmtScapes is an invitation for individuals to gain a deeper connection to the places they are a part of, to speculate the ways they relate to space through movement and sound, and to enter a heightened state of listening and presence. SonicMvmtScapes aims to deepen our connection and relation to place so that we can begin to approach place, the self, and others with a heightened sense of care. Live from 6 June 2025 to 31 August 2025. This sound-movement experience takes you from Lake Studios Berlin to Müggel park through the Friedrichshagen Spreetunnel to the forested paths along Müggelsee. Along the way, GPS-triggered soundscapes and texts invite you to tune into your surroundings, encouraging new ways of connecting to and relating with place. SonicMvmtScapes is a project directed by sound artist Samara Rice and dance artist Yasmine Lindskog that utilizes gps-triggered technology, sound, movement, and text to create unique experiences through urban and natural landscapes. It is an invitation for individuals to gain a deeper connection to the places they are a part of, to speculate the ways they relate to space, and to enter a heightened state of presence. PRACTICAL INFORMATION: You need a charged smartphone + headphones.Download the audio walk in advance.Give yourself time to experience the walk. It can be done in 40 minutes and it can also be stretched if you would like to take more time exploring as you go. If a track stops in the middle you can walk back to where you were and it will resume where it stopped.You can always look at the app to see the map. There are little blue shapes where sounds are located. During this period I participated in creation residencies, performances, workshops, and fundraiser events. I performed works by Nathaniel Hunt, Hallie Hunt, Amelia Couture, FLOCK (Florian Lochner and Alice Klock), and Julia Cost. Alongside Kate Whiticar, I co-choreographed an original work for the company, Henosis, at the Maui Arts &amp; Cultural Center as part of Art=MiXx. While co-directing the education and community outreach programs, Katie Whiticar and I developed a weekly community movement class designed to be accessible for all levels. We also curated a monthly master class program for the dance community on Maui. As part of our regular company trainings, I led company classes alongside my colleagues.&nbsp; In 2022, I returned to the company as a Guest Artist in the framework of their RARE residency program at the Maui Arts &amp; Cultural Center. Choreographer and Artistic Director Hallie Hunt led a creation-research residency. In 2023, I joined the company again as a Guest Artist in the framework of their Bring it Home Programming. This included participating as a dancer in a 4-week creation process which culminated in performances at the Historic ‘Īao Theater in Wailuku. It also included facilitating workshops for their PIVOT programming, a summer training company for early career collegiate and professional dancers ages 18-25.&nbsp; More about Adaptations Dance Theater: Founded in 2013 by Amelia Couture, Hallie Hunt, Vanessa Cerrito, and Nicole Humphrey, ADT aspires to create groundbreaking work in Hawai'i that sparks new energy in the dance community. By producing original works of art, ADT is using dance to address a specific need in its community for a permanent residence for dance artists. In order to address this need, Adaptations Dance Theater will share new works to enthrall audience members of diverse backgrounds and ages. In so doing, we foster an environment for future art advocates and participants in Hawai'i. ADT is proud to be a part of the vibrant art community on Maui and strives to contribute to the creativity and education of future dancers and art advocates.
